I agree. National pride is slipping.....it almost feels like it did for me when Carter was in office. Folks...I'm a Republican but Bush has not been a great President. We may as well own up to that. Kerry wasn't the answer either but the Republicans have spent way too much money. We've got a mess on our hands in the Middle East and I regret to say that I believe the only answer is to Nuke Tehran. I never wanted to see one of those used but the time is now. We didn't win WWII by playing nice guy with "surgical strikes." We leveled Berlin and Nuked Japan. Regard for human life only works with an enemy that has the same values. We can show no mercy when it comes to human life - this is ugly war and its why war should be avoided. But when you can't avoid it you play to win. We haven't truly won a war since WWII and its because we've been playing nice. Nice guys finish last. I know I sound over the top but its the only way I can see to fix things. If we wait too long Iran will be a real threat.
