I'm 52. When I was 17 I saw a shotgun that I just fell in love with. A Gorosable double in 12 gauge. SInce I had no money and was under age....I dropped off 5$ every now and then at Mrs. Grundy's sport shop. Once I had the gun paid for, I took the required papers home for my Grandmother to sign. I returned with them signed, was gifted a box of 12 gauge in 6 shot by Mrs. Grundy. This took place in the middle of the week during lunch period at my high school. I got an excuse to leave and pick up the gun half way through the school day. I got back to school around 1 pm and simply placed the gun and the shells in my unlocked locker. Twice before the day ended, between periods, I was asked to show the gun to a few guys in the hall. All perfectly normal activity in the middle of Pennsylvania in the late 60's.

Those were the days.

I paid 105$ for the gun. SOld it a few years later for 60$. Today they fetch between 600$ and 1100$
