I don't think Henri explicitly meant poverty, hybrid cars are way more expensive than regular ones, and I am sure Mr.Maloney is well compensated for his services. However, mentioning Prius has another far-fetching implication that is important for characteristics of a manager, and what to expect from him. Driving an ugly handicapped wheel-chair-looking car is an indication that the person believes in Anthropogenic Global Warming, and in salvation of humanity by cutting emissions of CO2. This is a way of thinking of a scientifically-challenged person or agenda-driven politician. You pick.
