Many republicans still have not figured out why they lost the 2006 elections. It is not some aberation of the electorate. Nor is some newly found love for the Democrats. There is an underlying breach of trust on many levels...the fiscal conservatives find themselves alligned with the flexible middle of the electorate who were bothered by scandal and Schaivo.

The republicans need to ditch the social conservatives and return to the historic base of the party or 2008 could be even worse. They have far more senate seats to defend and the Administration's direction right now will not be helpful.

Many can rant at the democrats (who still have not made a single decision in power), and it is so easy to blame the other guy....but why is the other guy even in power???
