'The truth is our refined zinc supply/demand balance could easily
show a much tighter market in 2007 and 2008 than what we have
committed to here. However we have had to rein in our expectations
for consumption and ramp up our production forecasts, otherwise
there would simply be no zinc left by the end of 2008'

Quote from the summary of Standard Bank's 7 page zinc analysis
showing the kind of thinking you will see if you peruse these
type detailed forecasts. More extensive analysis by RBC and
others is similar.

They just won't put down in print that zinc could run out or
that prices could ramp much above present prices to ration
demand.
