Hawk, i'm curious about something in regards to the docs. IF they are real, why have they not been translated and a strong case presented to the american people?

They have been translated. Look at the individual pages again and then look for the "english translation" button.

It will pop up the english translation in .PDF format.

It's hard to tell if the lousy grammar being used in the translation is on the part of the Iraqi authors, or on the part of the translators. We often had problems with the quality of some of our translations because of their limited english skills. But we also found that many Iraqi documents translated as if the authors were poorly educated. Yet, they were confirmed as authentic by various sourcing.

The documents in question from CNS only came to my attention over the past year. However, an associate of mine states that he saw the originals before they were leaked and it created quite an uproar.

As to why they haven't been more forcefully presented to the public by the Bush administration? Ask Rep. Hoekstra. He's the one who pressured to have these documents released.

But I can tell you that I've personally seen cases where information was held up and not presented in a timely manner to the White House. In one case, a potentially damning piece of evidence, consisting of IIS applications forms for recruiting agents who claimed ties to Al Qai'da (to include one who stated that he had participated in the 9/11 operation in some manner) were held up for 60 days and not permitted to be released until election day, 2004.

If that's not politicization of intelligence, I don't know what is.

Don't forget that members of intelligence agencies have political agendas just like anyone else. That's why I prefer to provide the docs for people to read and analyse for themselves.

I'm just the messenger.

Hawk
