He has three warnings. Cyber has received times out without warning in the past. Nobody can reasonably claim that I am unfair. Reason is unlikely to stop them.

I disagree on one point. The people posting on bulletin boards like SI are not often influenced. They are read more widely, and the lurkers read for information. When we attack people that we don't like, lurkers are going to discount our input. When they read others posting hostilely, they will discount them, and (in the long run) weight the people who post reasoned thought more.

I was surprised when I went back on Raging Bull to find that all old posts had been purged. If Dave ever wants to get rid of a whole bunch of members, he can start purging old posts. Nobody expects the old stuff to be on the fastest retrieval media, but we do occasionally hit it.

As such, this is one of the sites that retains old posts for years. Someone might read your posts and be influenced by them after you and I are deceased and our ashes scattered to the winds.
