Paul,
I think more 60% of motherboards are made in Taiwan and most motherboards of IBM, CPQ, DELL, and HWP are made in Taiwan too. Intel is not stupid to make motherboards here to compete with oversea manufacturers. Let us go back to Pentium II motherboards. Intel only makes pure P II motherbaord in Portland(I believe) at price around $213.00. If we compare the other company's P II motherboards, Intel's motherboard is a tiny. Here is a list of other company's P II motherboards in today's market.

1. AsusTek
2. American Megatrends
3. Epox
4. FIC
5. GigaByte
6. MicroStar
7. M Technology
8. Shuttle
9. SuperMicro
10. Tyan

Price range from $150.00 through $559.00(without CPU). Use your mind to think about. Are you going to say, 'Intel's P II motherboards dominate in the market?'

Best wishes

James
