Democrats have excellent presidential candidates of various types. Almost too many of them actually. It's really the best crop I've ever seen assuming they all run. Everyone from former VP Gore and highly presidential war hero Kerry to Hillary and the exciting new political star Barak Obama, then Bill Richardson, Evan Bayh, Joe Biden, the handsome good guy John Edwards, General Clark and heartland Gov Vilsack. Every single ont of the above would make fine presidents, and much better choices than Bush. You have to admit, the majority of Americans would have little problem with any of them in power. On the GOP side there is a limited choice. The rightwing candidates are all weak, and McCain, Guiliani and Romney do not interest the GOP base, and are pandering so hard to the rightwing that they may not be able to swerve back to the center. In any case, Dems have a big advantage going into 2008 with key states like Ohio now shining blue. The GOP will really have to be lucky this time to take the White House. I also believe Dems will continue their gains in the Senate and congress.
