Nearly all my adult life I drew a small base and the rest of my income was strictly commission based. The base was just about grocery money and little else. It was nice getting a 4 figure, sometimes even 5 figures in a commission check each month. I've been retired nearly 4 years now and don't miss the pressure, but if I had to go back to work, it would have to be commission based. I hate those commercials where they brag "our sales staff is not commissioned, so there's no pressure to buy". Those sales would be a great deal higher if commissions were involved.
