As far as I know, we still consider Italy as a friendly nation. It seems, in this situation, the Justice Minister was justified when insisting upon a response and should expect a response from us. I would find it interesting to see the response whether it is an agreement to extradite or a statement that qualifies non-extradition.

"There will certainly be a response," Justice Minister Clemente Mastella said in Rome.

I consider torture to be a crime against humanity and am absolutely opposed to it. I will also be interested to see if Italy simply gives up on this.
