When he cooks, he cleans up his own mess unless I get to it first. If that happens, he shoos me out. After dinner, he gets the kids to put away the dishes and he makes sure the kitchen is sparkling. He's done that for 30 years. When I cook, he pretty much stays out of the kitchen because I'm cleaning as I'm cooking and he has realized that he just gets in the way.
