Actually, my chemistry prof did catch a number of drylabbers with just such a trick. I was not one of them. I questioned him about my findings, and he said, better go with my results because that sample was measured on an analytical balance. Right.

My results were right, for 8 grams of sample--the exact amount he gave us.
