I think it's time to consider Doug as a contrary indicator. He is focused on Barcelona and AMD's 65nm process shrink, in fact, he's almost paranoid about both. I don't see this as an Intel investor's attitude, as much as an overextended AMD short seller on margin.

The 16 way Barcelona is a milestone achievement, and Intel is more than a year away from catching up to where AMD is today in the development of this technology. Not only the Quad core on a single die, but the DCA interconnect is a masterpiece, the likes of which Intel may never duplicate.

The 65nm transition is not a big deal, except that without it Barcelona doesn't ship.
