Yes they do. It's quite the deal. Transmission filters and on and on and on. Don't know what the answer would be for someone who doesn't have some knowledge of what really needs to be done and what doesn't.

I always take my truck to the small town dealer that I bought it from in my home town about 20 miles away. Well I was in a hurry one day so I took it too the big guy here in town. Service writer starts with the oil change and moves on to I see with your mileage we need to do a transmission service and reset the valves and on and on and on. I didn't respond to the guy and we stared at each other and he said so you would like to authorize this work? I stared at him and finally said, are you telling me that Chevrolet builds such a piece of shit truck that at 30,000 miles you need to do the filter and reset the valve bodies etc? He stammered and said well, and I said lets just skip that and I'll take my chances but perhaps I will have to think of a Jap truck next time so I don't have to worry about nonsense like that until 150,000 miles. He was speechless:)
