Bernard - Thanks for the explanation. What I like about P&F 3 box charting is that it is suppose to shift through the noise and when it signals, the signals are for real change. In the case of SGEN, it is the first buy signal from the stock since 2004 I believe. Looking at the longer term chart you provided one would have done well to stay away from the stock since its last sell single a couple of years ago. Doesn't mean you couldn't have made money trading - but the trend has been down. If the P&F charting is right - it has now entered a bull phase. What I am really interested in is your opinion as to how well the technical charting applies to biotechs. Perhaps SGEN was not the best example for me to use because of the insider buying.
