Norfolk Island has more freedom than Hong Kong. Though the Australians are trying to suppress them more and more, making them state serfs.

Pssst, Mq, Norfolk Island is a paradise and a tax haven. And relatively close to you.

But you surely know that.

Immigration to it seems difficult, however, at least for permanent residency.

No stop lights, sirens, cell phones, assault of the senses by the marketeers.....and next to no crime.

But it does appear that you can obtain an extended visa which you may serially renew and own a home there; probably the equivalent of being a resident.

Put your assets in some tax-protected place, have income wired to your Norfolk bank, and you are set. No taxes. And live in paradise.

You think the tax man will follow you to Norfolk Island? I don't.
