Richardson's play is that he is half-Mexican, and supposedly that makes him the hispanic candidate.

Forget for the moment that his name is "Richardson," a typical hispanic name.

The only states he is likely to win are New Mexico and California. The latter is already a safe democrat state, and the former is insignificant.

So we have a half-Mexican guy who had a privileged childhood going to private schools. He went to Middlesex and then majored in french at Tufts.

Richardson is the "anglo-guilt" candidate, but really anglos have nothing to feel guilty about, so let go of the Richardson thing.
