It seems unlikely Fidel Castro will live until the 2008 Presidential election. I suspect that by 2012 the Cuban vote in Florida will be less of an issue, because Cuba will be normalizing relations with the U.S. and the generational mellowing will lessen the Republican influence over Cuban-Americans. That is already the case in New Jersey, where Cuban-Americans are mainly Democrats.
