I was 8 when the first died...........a widow that brought two lovely daughters to Wa State from Boston after her husband died and worked as a cook in a logging camp. Not a good place for young girls imo. Then as a cook at the UW in a sorority and cook at Camp Denny in the summer. She never remarried.

I was 11......almost 12..........when the other died. She came across from NY by covered wagon and settled in Colville. I have tons of relatives buried in Colville.

I need to start up on my genealogy again...
