Let's hope the new SECDEF holds their feet to the fire.

I recently finished his book on working in "From the shadows... five presidents". I was not particularly impressed. But he has a resume. He is a big fan of Carter and Zbignewski. From what I could determine he has no line or field time in the CIA.

I hope he shows some strength as SecDef but do not expect it.

OTOH, since this is likely a two year assignment, the opportunity to do what's right certainly exists.
