re: Supply constraints for Core 2?? How can that be?

sigh, supply constraint for core 2 is not a controversial subject. I'm just referring to the multi-quarter rampup rate of core2 products long publicly published by intel.

just like K8L the would-be saviour will also take time and quarters to ramp up across AMD's entire product line.

my argument is that AMD's current (volume-driven) successes are the result of a large door of opportunity left open by intel during the current multi-quarter P4-->C2 transition. This door will be shutting in the months ahead, as last P4 stock goes the way of dodo, are written off, whatever. And this door is shutting just in time for the overall seasonal demand drop of Q1/Q2...

So not a great time for AMD to be caught leveraged on higher capacity.

sure K8L is on it's way eventually, but that product too will come (at first) as a trickle, while Core2 will at this point be in full flood at both value and highend price points.
