Yes, gold is very pretty.

Yes, poisoning people with polonium isn't nice.

My advice to you, if you are worried about your future, send your kids to medical school. Read "Dr. Zhivago" if you don't know why.

Even better advice, if you want your progeny to be rich, make it a family rule to buy land, and never, ever sell it, generation after generation.

While working on family history, it boggles my mind how many thousands of acres my family owned but sold. The city of Alexandria, VA, for one, the city of Jackson, MS for another. Short sighted.

Back to gold. Yes, it is very pretty. But then, I assume that in Hong Kong you can't legally stockpile Glocks and Kalashnikovs and so forth.

Given the choice between gold and a private army -- not much of a choice, I'd say.

If you know how to shoot, and you know how to lead men, and you know strategy and tactics -- forget the gold. You can just take what you need.
