I don't see what's so eerie about it. It's the same thing going on: Back stabbing protesters and antiwar bigots working behind the scenes to weaken our resolve stateside. The only thing different is that now they "support the troops." Oh yeah, they support the troops, because what they did in the Vietnam era is a big loser and they know it.
