(And, just so I can know we are talking about the same thing, can you pls tell me just *who's* threat you are specifically referring to? There have been SO MANY down through history. Are you talking about a group --- such as al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, etc. --- or a PERSON --- Kim Jung Il, Saddam H., a soviet leader, or a NATION, etc? I'll be happy to talk with you about it when I know what you are referring to.)

Don't understand that statement. I have ALWAYS argued *for* the growth of Democracy and Pluralism throughout the Middle East (and the entire World, for that matter), and argued that the strategy I've advocated is a WAY TO ACHIEVE AMERICAN SUCCESS IN ACHIEVING THOSE LONG-TERM GOALS.
In short: victory, not defeat, is what I argue for.
(I would argue that an alternate 'strategy' --- 'stay the course' is the SUREST WAY to achieve FAILURE, lose on achieving those goals, and in short: forget to learn anything from 9-11.) |
