Rink and Everybody,

I am tiring of reading the main thread. The value is suffering dramatically from all the OT. The value of this thread for me has historically been that I enjoy it (as it relates to my investments), and that enjoyment helps fuel my interest in running the contest website. My interest in both has reached an all-time low. This is not any sort of threat, it is just the way it is.

I am not sure, but I am guessing that some are happy to pollute the thread with OT. But I'm starting to digress...

As a solution, I propose to PLEASE take ALL discussion of thread moderation to this thread instead of the moderated thread. If you feel the need you can post a link to your OT post like I did to this one. But even that isn't necessary. Just post here and those that have bookmarked this thread (and are okay with OT stuff) will read it. But those that don't want to wade through the OT stuff won't have to.

To put some teeth in the proposal, I propose we add a new rule to the Mod thread: immediate suspension for any post that solely contains discussion of thread moderation (complaints, insults, suspensions, whatever). The fact is, these issues can be handled by PM or by posting on this OT thread or by using ignore. Those with free accounts will simply have to upgrade to have this ability (or win one of the contests ;).
