I get the feeling that Microsoft is being called a "natural monopoly" simply because it's already a monopoly and the high-tech industry has learned to deal with it.

Reminds me of the kiss-ass testimony Jerry Sanders gave for Bill Gates. He was totally hypocritical in regarding Microsoft as anything but a monopoly and all of his remarks came off as incredibly self-serving. Of course the AMD supporters didn't mind; Microsoft threw their weight behind AMD's 64-bit extensions and Intel had to follow along.

I pretty sure that will be brought up by Intel's legal counsel during the AMD anti-trust lawsuit.
