My experience with statistics professors is that some are good and that some are incapable of communicating in English. I was fortunate enough to have an instructor that was fluent in American English. I corrected his key on the final exam. I wanted to know how I did, so he let me check his key. Several students still working wondered what we were talking about; it took a few minutes to show him that his work contained an error. Despite my brusqueness, he awarded me an A+.
