It depends on how Republicans act. If they act like poor cowed wimps, they will not see the light of majority for a long time. The fact is that voters in just a few districts that are likely to vote Republican again in two years slipped democrats a slim victory. They have no legitimacy and no mandate. Instead of focusing on hate America anti freedom that got them their tenuous advantage, their first act of the 110th appears to be raising the minimum wage to cast the nation into a recession. Doubtless they think it will help their chances for a Presidential victory in 2008.
