I agree to most of your points, The merged company would have saved the premium part of the 5.4 billion and interest payments. If you read the terms of the Morgan Stanely et al loan AMD does appear to lose some of its autonomy; the board of AMD was negligent in thier responsibility to have agreed to those terms IMHO.
