I believe I heard Dr Jha @ recent Lehman presentation state that 4 of the 5 vendors bidding were using the Q’s MSMs.

I dont know if the GSMA initiative will actually drive big volumes but since it was announced I have viewed it as an independent benchmark as to how well Q is doing versus the competition on the low-end. So far so good :-).

Some other interesting comments from Jha....

- The margins on WCDMA and CDMA chipsets are similar.

- The delta between the low and high-end chipset ASP's is between 8-10x. This is much higher than I would have guessed and means that there are some high-end MSM's selling for at least $50.
