This type of investor takes it on faith that a good company will work out problems that are driving the price down.

That type of investor has no business investing in high-technology companies, where it is not a given that a "good" company will ever be able to out-innovate a competitor. They should stick to paper, paint, carpet, etc. :)

As for "value", I suggest that AMD's profits over the coming quarters will show that their stock price needs to be much lower to become a value.
