"Yes brilliant if they live in a bubble market and bought property 4+ years ago. All are so ahead of the game at this point. My guess is they lose their equity somehow some way in the next cycle through a combination of purchasing power loss, excess spending and a modest shrinkage in their nominal asset values.. " That is true, guys that have never had more than 5 grand in their checking accounts suddenly had 100 grand burning a hole in their pocket. Who was that guy on one of the boards that was describing clogged roadways in Southern Cal on the way to Mexico for a weekend with thousands of SUV's pulling trailers with giant boats, ATVs, Waverunners etc, all bought with housing bubble cash ? LOL Will those guys be able to afford to put gas in those things if housing money runs out? Can a high of a "free" 100K in your pocket ever be replaced by something else ? Or will consumer confidence experience slow, long erosion for years to come ?
