MSM7X00 Debuts in Multiple Markets Throughout 2007

•More than 15 leading global device manufacturers already receiving shipments and developing designs based on MSM7200 and MSM7500 chipset

•Over 30 commercial devices expected to launch by 2H 2007 –Windows Mobile-based devices in Asia, Europe & U.S.

•Leading Japanese carriers transitioning their high-end phone portfolio–KDDI mandating all mobile devices for 2007 be based on MSM7500 chipset

•Enables “out of the box”Windows Mobile Experience

Unfortunately, none of these points nails down a MSM7200 production device date. It could be early in the 2nd quarter of '07 (which would be about a year after sampling) or it still could be around Christmas '07. A difference of nine months never made that much of a difference in CDMA, but I think Q has learned that it matters quite a bit when it comes to WCDMA.

Q has seem to shortened the length of time from sampling to commercial devices for some of their low-end chipsets (QSC60xx, MSM6240), I am hoping to see a similar shortening for high-end chipsets.
