Yes we are, despite the fact many Americans really don't deserve the soldiers' sacrifices. Last night a young man who endured two tours of duty in Iraq was interviewed on MSNBC. He said he returned home a completely different person, who had matured in Iraq and today appreciates life far more in every way. He stated as well that he wouldn't change a thing even though he had shot many hundreds of those Islamic barbarians. The ex-marine's level-headed sincerity was stunning and heart warming.

His remark re maturing made me re-consider the wisdom of the military draft. It's an extremely difficult learning environment; however, many young Americans could use those very same lessons.

Isn't it interesting that the MSM is finally asking the soldiers their opinions of the war? Why did it take them so long to ask those willing to get the job done for all of us?
