Democrats are quite a centrist party now. You people always use the word "liberal" to define all democrats. That is inaccurate.
We have our liberals like Boxer and Kennedy, but look at those running for president in 2008. So far, Kucinich is the only liberal, and he's just a protest candidate.

The Democrats are somewhat dominated by centrists, and Clinton is known as the top one. He is not a liberal. In case you hadn't noticed, and neither were his "followers" in Arkansas, a conservative state, though he may side with liberals on many issues.

Clinton was also arguably the most successful president of modern times. He is the only one since JFK to both give us an economic boom and create huge surpluses, not massive decifits, plus no major wars. And the war he did fight he won without a single US casualty.

Those GOP deficits are serious stuff. Many trillions worth of debt just so the rich can have a tax break. And many rich people didn't even want it. Just the selfish ones. The Bush deficits will be haunting us for decades. And so unnecessary. Clinton's economy was fine. Why change it?
