my understanding is that the system was NOT approved for hair removal but for other uses, however, it is the belief of the company that now that the system can be purchased in the US, dermatologists etc will use it for HAIR removal even though it was not approved for that specific use.
this is really quite common in the medical community. the fda approves a device for use in some limited format but physicians and others use the equipment in ways that differ from the limited fda approval. therefore , the company expects sales to increase. when final fda approval is given for hair removal, sales will increase that much more.
consider it a 1-2 punch
