in case anyone cares, i put part of my SPF position back on today by selling december 25 puts for .13 after commissions

this is essentially 0.52% on the capital at risk in three days, for an annualized return of 63.3% <g> it's also a net additional gain of 8 cents a share even after deducting the cost of closing the previous trade early, which is nice

if the stock happened to be put to me, i would likely sell january 22.50 calls to earn a solid premium and reduce the risk

ironically, SPF was downgraded today by UBS, from buy to neutral

UBS initiated their buy recommendation on 1/6/06, with the stock at about 39.50, so now that it has dropped 33%, it's a hold instead of a buy <g>

now that's some quality analysis
