Jefferies & Co. analyst Adam Benjamin recommended investors buy up shares of the global positioning system chip maker, following strong sales data from Promate, a Taiwanese distributor and an important customer to SiRF.

"Early this morning, Promate reported its November integrated circuit components revenue was up 7 percent month-over-month. Assuming December follows typical seasonality, we believe SiRF's revenue at Promate is on track to meet our fourth-quarter estimate," Benjamin wrote in a note to investors.

The only other SIRF Asian distributor CoreTek is doing extremely well, too.

Note that the majority of SIRF's chips are sold in China/Taiwan/Hongkong because of the concentration of electronic manufacturing/assembly in these regions.

Tom Lin based in Taiwan - the senior VP responsible for Asian Sales are busy these days traveling in the Great China area talking with all the gear makers - particularly the cell phone makers.

SIRF is a nobrainer and no-presure investment.
