The problems with Gateway lead me to believe that GTW doesn't have the same inventory control as DELL. DELL has a inventory age of 4hrs. Gateways laying people off, and trying to get rid of dead inventory. Re: I suppose this implies that PC sales to companies are good, but that sales to individuals are off. GTW problems do not imply that PC sale to individuals are off. GTW is losing market share to DELL and others. DELL is now number one in education, this used to be Gateway's strong hold.
