When core2 duo benchmarks first came out It was obvious X2 would need a 400-500 Megahertz handicap to compete, it's unfortunate that even at 65 nm that continues to be the case. Amd's model number scheme just keeps getting more confusing, sometimes a 100 megahertz increase bumps you up to the next model sometimes bigger cache bumps you up, you definitely have to read the fine print to see what you are buying, another class action lawsuit in the making IMHO.
