Actually, for task lighting, the "bluish tinge" is much better for sight. A rods and cones thing. 5800K to 6000K is ideal, less eye strain, better detail recognition, better depth of field, less reflective glare especially from whitish surfaces.

For ambient light a lot of folks like the warm, yellow/green light. For me it's pollution. Light that replicates daylight is "real light".

We all have our weird idiosyncrasies (and I used to be in the business, one of my many former lives).
