I got 1/3 into asnd today.. tueday I buy more ..another 1/3 and save 1/3 for earnings.
with prot. puts along the way.
in the spring we'll see what the profit is.
most people are not patient and just don't stay long enough.
some of my SI plays were atml from 18 to 35 and had calls which meant I bailed out at 41.. it went down and I started naked putting it at 22-25....then got back in atml at 33,
Got cyrx at 24-25 and went out at 30, got rost at 25 and out at 27.5
got tecd and still own large chunk.. 22 to almost 50. It's in a hold and forget acct. that's why i don't know the price. I did sell 1/4 of my tecd months ago. Did naked puts and sold covered calls on amd so effective cost was in 20's and sold at 36.
Don't reveal cpq holdings but I help start the compnay in 1983.
now, I'm into asnd..1/3 today and 1/3 tuesday and 1/3 at earnings.
Did buy cpq calls 100 of them minutes afte they announced the split..I took the 30k to 105k and bailed out...boy I win the dumb dumb award for not riding that one out. did get back in a few times and double money each time.

I LISTING ALL THESE STKS TO SAY DON'T PANIC IF YOU OWN AND BUY SOON IF YOU DON'T OWN... TECHIES LIKE ASND COME BACK.
on asnd I should take 30k and make it 300k in mar 98 with straddle and prot. puts..

but, I don't react to these things like others.
cpq prepared me well by crashing all the time( there were weeks that I was down a million dollars on cpq and it did it to me quite often,,ggg) but just 150 shares in 1983 is worth over 500k now... just relax is my plan. don't let the booger man scare you out of making the succesful investment...long term term long term.
Of course money is not definiton of personal success anyway.
