Thanks for your concern

I just got back - Long day and long night. His shoulder popped out of his socket and he has a hairline fracture in his hip. I think my family is more concerned than I am. It hurts like hell when they pop your shoulder back in place but thats no big deal - been there done that. The hairline fracture (to me) is also not that serious. Had he broken it outright he'd be toast. But its not nearly as bad as the phone call I had with my mom. Everyone was in a tizz when I left at 4am but I told them all to go home and get some sleep. Personally I think the worst thing will be popping that shoulder back in. I have no idea why that hasn't been done already. When it happened to me they didn't wait - a coach stuck a piece of wood in my mouth and cranked on it. It hurt and I called him every name in the book (at age 14). He stood there and laughed at me. Looking back it was pretty funny. Anyhow - the fact that they didn't wheel dad in for surgery says to me they aren't that concerned. My family was kind of pissed when I left at 4am but I told them there was nothing we could do and that he'd be fine. They're convinced he wont be but I'll be proven right in the end. My brother and I think alike so I pulled him aside and said call me if it looks really bad....he agreed with me that people were overreacting. I'm so tired but the day has just begun.
