What exactly is your point? You sure are wasting a lot of time arguing semantics. I'm pretty sure everybody on this board understands inflation and did before you ever decided to step in and help them out. Besides if more people viewed inflation as Mish does, we might even get enough understanding of inflation amongst the masses that we could rally against it. Inflation defined as the cause instead of the effect would leave less room for misunderstanding and intentional obfuscation. As it is, the masses complain about the price of stuff going up, but most are clueless about the impact of deficit spending, the implications of fiat money, why its bad to run the printing press non stop, and how their wealth is being stolen from them. Maybe that is the way you would like to keep it?
