... GAD had/has no ability to mass produce low cost gallium arsenide diodes. But, alas, no one seemed to realize that back then.... What I did realize then, (and posted here) was that ISSM had no intention of turning GAD into a manufacturing organization. ISSM and its principals made it clear enough that they were not investing in any scaleup. When I sold, I didn't see ISSM doing anything more than milking the "future promise" of GAD. Certainly it is better to be lucky than smart...I was lucky to make the right contacts. And lucky to follow up on the sources...and lucky to have sold at $4. -bob
