Mike,Kris B seems to be going to the heart of the matter when it comes to inflation deflation.Neither side seems to carry the discussion to a logical conclusion a layman like myself can identify.Mish being on the fringe is no revelation when looking at the stock market;however, his logic makes sense to me if the housing bubble is allowed to play out without any radicle intervention.Mish can confuse when he supposes the banks don't want to bail out debtors with inflation,as this what they have done during my lifetime exclusively,I can't believe they rather be stuck holding all those empty houses which would be losing value. The level of inflation that may be acceptable to the Banks before they consider it out of hand is unknown.Like Kris B,I cannot seem to follow any of the inflation arguments to the conclusion that You,John and GST expect. You say things like a portion of society sinking into poverty due to wages not keeping up with inflation, without accounting for an equal loss of demand or how supply might shrink to compensate ie; tariffs, otherwise you are just making Mish's argument for him.Any position that is so obvious that 99% of investors support it,should be able to be explained to it's conclusion more than what I have seen to this point.
