energyplay,
What do you think about the Wisdom Tree family of dividend-weighted ETF's? If you go to their website: www.wisdomtree.com there is an interesting article by Jeremy Siegel about the advantages of a fundamentals weighted index instead of market cap weighted index.

If you will click on the "ETFS" drop down and then look at the corresponding item under "Indexes" the data under "Indexes" is the actual fundamental data for the ETF.

They tell me that they intend to pay their first dividend on the international ETF's later this month and that this will be a partial distribution of about half the annual rate indicated. Thereafter this dividend will be paid once per year. They plan to pay the distribution on the US domestic ETF's quarterly.

I have DEW and DNH and they have been moving up nicely. One thing that is interesting is how much higher the dividend rate is for the international indexes than the comparable US domestic. These things might be good buys after a pull-back.

BTW I still have VRTX and HE.
