Korea Electric Power Corporation Deployed H3C Products to Improve High Speed Links between Its Branches and Sub-Branches

Korea, 12 December? H3C is expanding fast in the international market and has recently provided a high speed network for Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO).

KEPCO selected H3C for the abundant features, reputation for reliability and high cost for performance ratio of its solution. Leveraging its comprehensive line of IP-based networking products, H3C offers large enterprises like KEPCO, a truly customer oriented solution, customized to meet their unique business needs. H3C’s strong technical support and pre- and post-sales service meant a smooth and worry-free installation.

KEPCO needed new high performance routers and access switches to manage its network connections between its branch headquarters in DaeJeon and ChungJu and various sub-branch offices in both cities. H3C proposed using its high performance, multi-service routers to support KEPCO’s new Multi-Service Provisioning Platform (MSPP) infrastructure.

H3C products provide KEPCO with a router and switch solution to support the deployment of its MSPP infrastructure in its DaeJeon and ChungJu city networks. Using its NE20-2 high performance routers and S3928-E1 (H3C S3600-28P-EI) multi-service switches, KEPCO’s new city networks can provide the high performance, stability and flexibility to handle voice, video and data communications and IP-based network applications. The H3C solution is also totally compatible with other vendor’s products in the MSPP and is fully compliant with international standards.

Korea Electric Power Corporation is one of the largest government-operated enterprises in South Korea. It provides power distribution services across the entire country. As an organization with widely separated facilities covering the width of South Korea’s 99,237 square kilometers, KEPCO operates several complex power supply and data communication networks.
