"Massively expensive" would better define the results of climate change than the efforts to decrease the use of fossil fuels.

It properly fits the expense of rapidly reducing CO2 production. It might fit the costs of global warming, but its hard to know what they are. Also its hard to know if something like Kyoto is either necessary or sufficient to greatly reduce the human contribution to climate change, or even if its necessary to greatly reduce the human contribution to climate change.
